Your Partner for Clean & Clear Spaces

Our competent Hoss Disposal team is dedicated to ensuring that your waste disposal needs are handled with the utmost professionalism and care.

Serving Our Community with Faith and Purpose

HOSS DISPOSAL Inc. is a locally and family-owned waste management company, proudly serving Humboldt County and surrounding areas, including Pershing and Lander Counties. As natives of Winnemucca, we built HOSS on the principles of hard work, honesty, and a deep commitment to the communities that raised us.

We provide reliable residential, commercial, and industrial waste collection services, but for us, this work is personal. We don’t just serve customers—we serve our neighbors, friends, and the families we've grown up alongside. Every bin we collect, every route we run, and every handshake we offer reflects our dedication to the people around us.

Our Commitment

We have a genuine care for the land we live on and the people who call it home. We cherish our desert mountains, wide-open skies, changing seasons, and the resilient, kind-hearted individuals who make Northern Nevada so special. Having planted our roots here, we are committed to growing with our communities—investing in local causes, supporting through donations, and showing up when needed most.

We take pride in not only keeping our counties clean but also helping them thrive. To us, this is more than just a job—it’s a responsibility and an honor. At HOSS, your trash is our business, but your well-being, trust, and future are what truly matter to us.

Rooted in faith, Serving with purpose

Our values are deeply rooted in faith, and we are guided by Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."

PLACEMENT & POLICY OF GARBAGE CARTS

unnamed

Garbage Policy

All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash can. (We are not responsible for loose trash flying out of the truck!)

  • Trash cans should be out by the curb no later than 4:00 a.m., preferably the night before a scheduled pick-up. Trash cans not out when our driver arrives will not be our responsibility. (There is a $25.00 charge for a return pickup.)
  • Any boxes put in the container must be broken down. Do not stuff whole boxes in the trash can.
  • We prefer no bags outside the container.
  • NO Dirt, Sod, Concrete, Bricks, etc. inside or outside containers will not be picked up.

Yard Waste Reminders

Please contact our office for an additional cart solely for yard waste. Additional bags left outside of cart will not be picked up unless you have made further arrangements with our office.

Bulk Item Pick-Ups

Please do not put large household items out by the curb on your pickup day, these large bulk items will not be picked up.

Placing Your Trash for Curbside

Placement for curbside trash collection is incredibly easy, but it’s also incredibly important to ensure your waste and recycling services are handled properly. We do not want to miss a collection, but we are unable to pick up your trash if it is not placed correctly prior to the arrival of the garbage truck. Below is a guide explaining correct placement of container to avoid any confusion and prepare you for your day of pick up.

When you sign up for service, Waste Industries will drop a 96-gallon trash can at your home to begin your garbage collection service. By this time, you will also know your day of service, which will be provided to you by the office in collecting your waste.

Place your trash can and recycling bin at the curb with the wheels facing your house and the lid opening into the street.

Keep your garbage cans three feet apart and 10 feet from any obstacles such as mailboxes, cars, lamp posts, or power lines.

To prevent being missed please keep your container out until the end of the day. Pick up times may vary due to route changes, and we don’t want to miss you.

These guidelines should assist in preventing any problems with your collection, however we understand on rare occasions something may go wrong. So, if you have any issues with your collection, please contact our office . Our trucks are equipped with GPS tracking systems, so when you call, we can check the vehicle’s time and location across its route and confirm a skipped collection, allowing us to route a relief vehicle to handle the missed.
